We collect information you provide directly to us, information we obtain automatically when you use our services, and information from third-party sources.
Information you provide to us:
Account Information

Running Profile
- - Physical characteristics (height, weight)
- - Running preferences, pace, and goals
- - Event participation and results
- - Club memberships and roles
Health and Biometric Data:
Sensitive Personal Information
When you choose to connect Apple Health (HealthKit) or Google Fit, we collect the following health and biometric data with your explicit consent:
- - Heart rate data (current, max, average, resting)
- - Step count and distance traveled
- - Workout and exercise session data
- - Calories burned and energy expenditure
- - GPS routes and elevation gain from workouts
- - Sleep and recovery metrics (if available)
You can connect or disconnect these health data sources at any time through your app settings. We never sell your health data. This data is used solely to provide you with activity tracking, performance insights, and personal records within the RunLink platform.
Precise Location Data:
- - Precise GPS coordinates and route tracking data (GeoJSON) for running activities
- - Event route mapping and GPX route exports
- - Workout routes synced from Apple Health or Google Fit
- - Approximate location for nearby club and event search
This is distinct from IP-based location approximation. We collect precise GPS data to map your runs, display event routes, and enable proximity-based club discovery.
Messaging and Communications:
- - Direct messages and club group chat content
- - Message read receipts and delivery status
- - Message edit history and reactions
- - File attachments shared in messages
- - Typing indicators (processed in real-time, not stored long-term)
- - Pinned messages and conversation metadata
Payment and Billing Information:
- - Billing name, address, and email
- - Partial card information (last 4 digits and card brand only)
- - Payment method identifiers
- - Subscription plan and billing history
- - In-app purchase receipts (App Store and Google Play)
Full payment card numbers are never stored on our servers. All payment processing is handled securely by Stripe, Apple, or Google.
Information from Third-Party Login Providers:
When you sign in using Google, Facebook, or Apple, we receive the following from your chosen provider:
- - Name and email address
- - Profile photo (if available)
- - Unique account identifier from the provider
We do not receive or store your password from these providers.
Technical and Device Information:
- - Device type, operating system, and browser information
- - IP address and approximate location
- - Usage patterns and analytics data
- - Push notification device tokens (FCM/APNs)
- - Device security status (jailbreak/root detection)
- - VPN usage detection
- - Biometric authentication preferences (Face ID/Touch ID), processed on-device only

3Automated Processing and Decision-Making

- Referral fraud detection to maintain program integrity
- Automated content moderation flagging for reported messages
- A/B testing and feature experiments to improve platform experience
- Subscription plan recommendations based on usage patterns
These automated processes do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you. Significant moderation actions are reviewed by our team.
